Asian food and culture in Irvine

The Mega Night Market is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on both Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18. It will be held at Great Park Live, 8000 Great Park Boulevard in Irvine.

The organizer describes Asian street food, live music, DJs, singers and traditional dance. Its event page names Vietnamese, Lao, Khmer, Hmong, Iu Mien and Thai communities, along with other Asian communities.

The organizer says cultural attire qualifies visitors for free admission on Sunday. The event page does not define qualifying attire. The ticket page could not be accessed when Bolsa Bridge checked, so this article does not state a ticket price or current availability. Check the event page and ticket link before going.

Pumpkin Palooza lists a sensory-friendly show Sunday morning

Discovery Cube Orange County in Santa Ana is hosting Pumpkin Palooza from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on October 17 and 18. The address is 2500 North Main Street.

The museum lists dance parties at 11 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. It also lists a Sensory Friendly Show at 9:50 a.m. Sunday. The program is identified as sensory-friendly, but the event page does not describe the specific accommodations.

Pumpkin Palooza has an additional cost. Families should check the ticket type and entry time for the 9:50 a.m. show before going; the listing places it before the festival’s 10 a.m. opening.
