About Bolsa Bridge
Who runs this site, how the stories get made, and how we fix mistakes.
What Bolsa Bridge is
Bolsa Bridge is a small local news site for greater Little Saigon. We read the public record so you don't have to, then tell the story in Vietnamese and English. Our first story ran on August 17, 2026.
Who we are
Bolsa Bridge is the shared work of a group of engineers, journalists and professionals with one goal: a strong Vietnamese American community that is part of the mainstream.
We will publish our legal entity once the paperwork is complete.
Where we report, and for whom
Our home turf is Westminster, Garden Grove and Fountain Valley, plus the GGUSD, WSD and HBUHSD school districts. We also follow west Santa Ana, Midway City and Orange County agencies. Huntington Beach and Anaheim come up only when something there affects our community.
We write for two generations in one family: parents who read Vietnamese and children who read English.
What we do
- We read the council and school-board agendas before the week's meetings and post "This week in Bolsa".
- We help you make sense of money, bills and paperwork — like our story on the GKN claims fund.
- We flag the scams you're most likely to run into — the warning signs and what to do.
- Every story runs in both languages, with a Language Corner.
There's also a community calendar (dates checked with the organizers) and Cầu Chữ, our daily word game. Our rooms-for-rent board is a trial run: for now, you send us your listing and we post it.
How we report
We work from primary sources: agendas, staff reports, meeting video, and federal agency sites like the FTC and FBI. No anonymous sources; quotes stay verbatim. Every story ends with a "Sources & verification notes" section, so you can check our work.
We use AI to help find documents, draft stories and translate. The editor reads, fact-checks, edits, and hits publish. Money stories carry a disclaimer: not financial, tax, investment or legal advice. We also don't recommend specific investment or insurance products.
When we get it wrong
No quiet edits. When a public record once listed the wrong street number, we quoted the record as written and added a correction citing the official directory.
We fix the story itself and add a dated note at the bottom saying what changed. If a mistake changes what a story means, we say so on the homepage too.
Contact
For now, email is the only way to reach us: info@bolsabridge.com. Tips, feedback, corrections — the editor reads every message. We don't have a phone line or an office address.
